Carmen Caruso (BA, MA, PhD) is affiliated with Mobility Research Centre (MoRe) at IBS. She is also a visiting researcher at UCLan and an affiliate member of the UCLan Research Centre for Migration, Diaspora and Exile (MIDEX). Most of her work is shaped by a concern for structural asymmetries in different social and cultural contexts and is driven by a commitment to social justice. Her research interests span social and cultural studies and encompass migration/mobility and diversity, citizenship, and social change. She has published two books, contributed book chapters and authored articles for academic journals. Throughout the years, she has participated in different capacities in several public engagement projects.
